This section of the data sheet contains a listing of prefixes and suffixes for TI DSP parts and their definitions as well as a breakout on how the orderable device name is created. 

The Tool and device Nomenclature section is used to define the stage of the product life cycle, from experimental testing to a fully qualified device or tool.   This section will also include a full listing of how each orderable part number is defined by each number or letter.  The complete orderable part number is also included to simplify purchase of the processors.
