Block Diagrams
Block Diagrams are included in DSP data sheets to provide a high level architecture view of the processor. These diagrams are often a mix of CPU and Peripheral connectivity and accompanying bus structure.
The block diagrams use a closed box to indicate the structures of the DSP and will include the CPU core, all internal peripherals and memory. In addition, the diagram will often include external peripherals or devices that may be interfaced to a specific internal DSP peripheral.
The diagram below is an example of the block Diagram found in most DSP data sheets.
