C6211 DSK tools version 1.03 does not support DSP BIOS and RTDX.

A new version of the DSK tools has been released, it is version 1.05. Version 1.05 provides support for DSP BIOS and RTDX along with a number of bug fixes. Over Installing DSK Tools Release 1.05 on top of 1.03 1.Two sets of menu items will appear for starting Code Composer Studio (Code Composer Studio and CCStudio) and Code Composer Setup (Code Composer Setup and CCSetup). Both will work, however if you wish to only have one you may edit the start menu shortcuts. Do this by right clicking the Start button, select "Open" or "Open all users". Double click "Programs", then Double click "Code Composer Studio 'C6000 DSK Tools". Select the 'Code Composer Studio' shortcut and hit the delete key. Do the same for 'Setup Code Composer Studio'. Verify this by using the start menu, Start-Programs-Code Composer Studio 'C6000 Tools. 2.Make sure you dsk6xinit.gel file has the version 2.15.05 string at the top. If it does not, then for proper operation of the DSK, you will need to rename the dsk6xinit.gel in C:\ti\cc\gel and reinstall DSK Tools Release 1.05. Over Installing DSK Tools Release 1.05 on top of other Code Composer Studio products.

1.DSK Tools Release 1.05 is compatible with Code Composer Studio 1.00 for the C6x. Either product can be installed first and the other installed on top. However, it should be noted that the desktop icon will start Code Composer Studio and the shortcut will provide the init.gel (or dsk6xinit.gel) for the product installed most recently. Due to issues with the init.gel, it is recommended that only one target board be configured in Code Composer Setup.

2.DSK Tools Release 1.05 is compatible with Code Composer Studio 1.10 for the C54x. Take note, you will be upgrading the DSK 6211 to a newer version of Code Composer debugger (from CC4.02 to CC 4.10) when installing CCS C54x 1.10 or CCS C5402 DSK Release 1.11 on top of the CCS C6211 DSK Release 1.05. The DSK will not downgrade the debugger included with 1.10 so either can be installed first. Note: Do not uninstall CCS 1.10 as this will pull some files off that are required by the upgraded DSK tools. If you do uninstall, you will need to re-install the C6211 DSK software and you will no longer have the upgraded debugger. You can download the patch and the release notes at the following urls.
