How does a designer implement an analog op-amp filter design that operates from a Single-Supply voltage?

Solution:

There are two major topics with which the designer should be familiar prior to implementing a Single-Supply filter:

• The designer must be familiar with how to generate the "Vcc/2" that is shown in these schematics. This is the Virtual Ground of the filter circuit - a small, localized ground system within the filter.
• The designer must know how to isolate the virtual ground of the filter from the rest of the system with Coupling Capacitors.
