Total Harmonic Distortion Parameter (THD)
Problem:
What is the meaning of the total harmonic distortion parameter (THD)?
Solution:
The total harmonic distortion parameter, THD, is defined as the ratio of the RMS voltage of the harmonics of the fundamental signal to the total RMS voltage at the output. THD is expressed in dBc or %.
THD does not account for the noise as does the Total harmonic distortion plus noise | parameter.
