Differential Gain Error (AD)

Problem:
What is meant by the differential gain error (AD) parameter?

Solution:
The differential gain error parameter, AD, is defined as the change in ac gain with change in dc level. The ac signal is 40 IRE (0.28 V PK ) and the dc level change is ±100 IRE (±0.7 V). Typically tested at 3.58 MHz (NTSC) or 4.43 MHz (PAL) carrier frequencies. It is represented in units of %.
