* For Windows NT users, go into your CMOS setup when booting up your machine and configure the LPT for SPP mode. Make sure that the parallel port cable is not connected on boot up when doing the CMOS setup and make sure that the DSK is not powered on.
* Be sure to install the updated S/W that came in the floppy disk. (This is specific to v1.05 of the product).
* Setup the parallel port so that it is configured correctly and make sure the ports are set in the autoexec.bat.
* Configure the reset with the right value of the port address.
* The port setting should be either 0xa, 0xb, 0xc, or 0xd, depending on how the parallel port is set up and which port you are using.
* Go into CCS Setup and select the properties for the board listed under My System, make sure that the I/O port matches the setting that the reset works with (eg 0x0a).
* Under the Processor Configuration tab, remove the current CPU_1 (this would be the normal setting for the first CPU on a board) and add a single TMS320C6x1x to the system. This is driver is specific to the DSK. The TMS320C6x0x will not work with the DSK if it is selected.
* Save your settings and try again.

If CCS still doesn't come up, check to make sure that your path set to ;...C6000\DSK\BIN;...
and that you have the following files on your machine:

   XDSFAST1.SYS  in C:\winnt\ti
   XDSFAST2.DLL  in C:\ti\c6000\dsk\bin
   DSK6211.DLL   in C:\ti\c6000\dsk\bin
